Position Summary: The mission of the St. Luke's Cornwall Health System Foundation is to articulate the critical role of private and corporate philanthropy to the hospital and the vast opportunitites for support throughout our health system. The Foundation is charged with maximizing the financial gift support to the institution by seeking private and corporate contributuions in order to increase suport of hospital programs and capital projects. The development officer will work to successfully implement the fund development plan for Foundation campaigns including, but not limited to, major gifts, grateful patient program, giving society, prospect research, employee giving campaign, annual giving, physician giving, and grant procurement. The development officer will be tasked with securing funds for the organizaiton by manging a group of assigned, qualified donors helping them fulfill their passions and interests through their giving to St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital. The development officer will work continuously to build and manage a portfolio of donors through identification, cultivation, solicitation, and recognition.
- Education/Training: bachelor's degree required. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Experience: minimum of five (5) years in fundraising and/or non-profit organization, three (3) years in direct fundraising role. Knowledge of Blackbaud Raisers' Edge and/or other donor management system required. Major gift experience preferred.
