Capital Campaign Director

The Capital Campaign Director for Proctors, theREP and UPH is critical to the fundraising efforts for these regional arts organizations. The Capital Campaign Director is responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 100-200 campaign prospects.  This full-time, exempt employee will report to the Relationships Director and is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of campaign gift prospects for the organizations. Through good application of cultivation practices, this person will educate and inform prospective donors about organizational programs and needs, thereby increasing the prospective donor’s affinity to the organization. The Capital Campaign Director will also coordinate donor cultivation events/gatherings for the organizations, collaborate with other fundraising efforts and maintain effective relations with donors, prospects, board members, volunteers, and the community-at-large. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution or University

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of fundraising experience. Documented success of raising gifts through personal solicitations.  Experience with arts organization or other complex not-for-profit institution preferred. 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Understanding of specific steps in the process leading to a major gift solicitation• Experience involving volunteers in the fundraising process • Strong written and verbal presentation skills • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and peers within the organization as well as with external partners (volunteers) at the individual and organizational level • Self-motivated and results oriented
