The mission of Living Resources is to promote and provide life-enhancing services to individuals challenged by intellectual disabilities and brain injuries in environments that are safe and nurturing. We provide individuals we serve with life-enhancing opportunities by creating, innovating, operating and maintaining a comprehensive range of community based services for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Asperger syndrome, and traumatic or acquired brain injury. Our single goal is to make sure everyone continues to grow and live as independently as possible. 

Director of Philanthropy – In partnership and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Philanthropy will be responsible for the execution of a fund development and marketing plan focused on strategic growth. The key priority for this position is planning, organizing, securing and growing the organization’s donor base of support. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a proven track record of securing gifts, building relationships, building brand, and working as a team. Value of the organization’s core mission and ability to communicate the message across multiple mediums is required.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of five to seven years raising funds for either a non-profit organization seeking donors or a for-profit organization seeking investors, with experience in a professional environment focused on fundraising, public relations, marketing and special events, including digital and social media as well as traditional communications vehicles (press releases, newsletters, annual reports, special events, etc.)

Skills: Computer literate with Microsoft Office; Excellent writing, oral, analytical, and research skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities; outstanding time management and interpersonal skills.
