The NY, Hudson-Mohawk Chapter was established in 1985 and has over 90 active members who serve as development directors, fundraising consultants, grant writers, volunteer fundraisers, foundation executives, and other individuals dedicated to fundraising and philanthropy.

The Vice President for Institute Advancement reports to the President and serves as an Officer of Rensselaer. The incumbent is responsible for developing a strategic outlook for philanthropy as well as researching, designing, cultivating, coordinating, and executing all central advancement programs. The Vice President for Institute Advancement will lead efforts related to major gift fund-raising, corporate/foundation gifts and sponsorship, planned giving, alumni relations, prospect research, prospect and donor communications, advancement events, advancement information systems, and technology platforms.
